Where to mount MSD box?
I tryed search but nothing comes up. I am installing a MSD box in mine 69 and need to find a good spot for it. Who is running one and where did you mount it? Post some pics if you have it. Thanks

you need to mount it where it has decent "breathing space". they heat up and can overheat in the worst case scenario......

i shaved my firewall and put a trimmed and painted 1/8" steel plate over the heater holes.first i test fit the sheet, after trimming from my template.. and then i installed a pro-comp ignition set-up (msd-knock-off) came with pc-51 coil, msd box, and billet mag/pickup dissy. then i mounted it back onto the firewall. if your thinkin of going shaved this is a nice place for extras in the bay'..... ill try to post pics later.

Here's where I put mine.....the raised area almost looks like it was made for it and I like it out of sight.

Thanks for the ideas. I mounted mine on the left fender. I couldn't use the right fender due to electrical distribution block mounted overthere.

I bent some heavy tin on a break and mounted it to the pass side fenderwell
