Tire/Wheel question??????

Will a 35 15.50 15 Bogger fit a stock 15x8 rally wheel? I've ran 35 12.50's on 15x8s with no problem at all. So I'm wondering what I'd run into with that wide of tire on a 15x8" wheel. This would be street only, no low pressure wheeling.

Re: Tire/Wheel question??????

I put a 33-12.5/15 on a 15.8 rim and we had to stand on the tire and use a breaker bar to get the bead over the rim. I would think that a 15.5 wide tire on an 8 inch rim would not fit.

Only my thoughts, it depends on specifics of the tire, the specs of tires vary between manufacturers. If you have Discount Tire in your area, give them a call. They could tell you, and sometimes, they have been known to try things out for the customer. I know when I went to Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, they were mounting up wheels and tires for people to try out on their trucks to see if they liked them.

Re: Tire/Wheel question??????

it will work. When i bought my 44x18 tsl they were on a 16.5 x 8 wagon wheel. I had 38x15.50s on a 9.75. Ive had 40x17 on a 15x10. Ive seen plenty of 39.5 x18 on 9.75 and 10 inchers. In other words, try it and see.

Re: Tire/Wheel question??????

Might work.
As already posted there's been alot of mount's similar to your question but all of those tires are of the 'taller' variety and have alot more sidewall than the 35" tire will have.

I'm currently running a set of 16.5" X 9.75" wheels with my 15" wide 42" tall TSL's.

The tires in the pics 39.5"s but still 15"s wide.

Re: Tire/Wheel question??????

By putting a tire that wide on a rim that narrow you are gonna really round out the tire , your side walls will be hanging way out past the wheel and your contact patch will be affeceted as well, you will have to adjust your tire pressure so you don't end up waring out the center of the tred. I personally wouldn't go that wide on an 8" wide rim.
