Fleetside Bed, Yeah!!!

Well after owning my truck for 2 months I finally found a fleetside bed to replace my stepside bed. I am going on Sunday morning to bring it home and figure out my next move. It is not perfect but it is within my means and with some time, effort and hard work I can make it right for me. It has a steel floor and that is a plus because I want use my truck every now and then.

Good on ya' brotha'! Nothing beats a shorty fleetside IMO. Sounds like you have the right attitude to make a winning truck. Time + Hard Work + Patience = Success.

Drop some photog's when you get a chance- We'd like to see what ya scored!

Re: Fleetside Bed, Yeah!!!

I will post more pictures in the near future... I have been very busy between running to the machine shop, stripping a 72 longbed I bought for parts to get disc brakes, power steering and to convert my leafs to trailing arms and springs. I also scored a 454 and turbo 400 for a future build after I learn the basics with my 350. Here is what is in my driveway, my wife is wondering what is going on but she also told me to swap to a fleet side over my current stepside. Her input is great because she is treating this as a family project so the little brown truck is a welcomed visitor by all.

I am leaving after work to go get the bed. I am going to try to strike a deal for the rest of the truck and pick it up this weekend....
