Re: Your opinion on ART arms
I love mine the look great fit great and I dont think that you could rebuild and paint your old ones for what the art ones offer in convience and price.

Re: Your opinion on ART arms
I feel that they are of great quality. They are a wee bit pricey, but are worth the Buck. I believe they do correct the geometry for getting really low. If you get them, better go ahead and order a PorterBuilt dropmember. Good Luck

Re: Your opinion on ART arms
I have the uppers because after spending the money to rebuild stockers, I spent a little more and got ART uppers. As a bonus, they help correct geometry. The lowers on the other hand are a different story. I have yet to bring myself to spend the money on them for basically looks. They really don't offer any advantage over the stockers except in the looks department. The only thing they really offer is you probably can get about an inch lower vs. using 1.5 tall cups. Don't get me wrong, I want the lowers REALLY bad, but they are overpriced IMO. I've been keeping my eye out for a used set, but that is like finding a needle in a haystack.

Re: Your opinion on ART arms
Are the ART arms only for bags? I know CPP makes a set for springs.

Re: Your opinion on ART arms
Thank you for your replies. But I am still uncertain if I should buy them or not. Another point is that I wouldn't be able to use my sway bar which gives better ride quality.
I rebuilt my front end complete last year but badly hit with the lower a- arm on the driver side. So I have to replace him anyway. Better geometry and a gain in lowering are great but also a lot of bucks for it. Does anybody have pics of the clearance under the lower arm with 2.5" spindles and 3/4" cups? |

Re: Your opinion on ART arms
if you have to replace one or both because of damage, I would get the ART arms. Being in Germany though, shipping can be spendy.

Re: Your opinion on ART arms
why cant you run a sway bar? you just cant run a stock one. i think they sell a different one to go on there. i cant justify buying those either.

Re: Your opinion on ART arms
I just installed upper and lower arms. The installation was easy and the fit was perfect. They also make a "muscle bar" sway bar that is a direct bolt on to the lower arms, which is also made to correct the geometry of the sway bar when lowered.

Re: Your opinion on ART arms
We run the upper and lower strong arms and the fit was great. I am very happy with them and would recommend them. They look very clean.

Re: Your opinion on ART arms
The reason we dont build them to accept the factory sway bar is beacuase the factory bar is a clam shell mount design on the arm. As soon as you take the truck out of its original OE ride height spec it does not work right. Ours change it over to a modern end link.......
