good Craigslist trip
Today my Dad and I went out on a motor hunt. We got a lead from Craigslist. Guy had a good running 350 Vortec with 700R4, wanted 450 for it all. He told us while we were there that everything he has is going to the crusher in about a month. He also said for that 450 bucks you can have a free run at the whole lot and get what ya want. Only thing was that he wants 15 bucks for aluminum wheels because that's what he gets paid to scrap them, unfortunately there wasn't any we could use. He only has 1 72 lwb that is more rust than metal but we basically got everything usable off of it. Everything but the glass, we're going back tomorrow. We got everything to put the engine tranny into the 72 we got off of Craigslist a few weeks ago. All in all I thought it was a pretty sweet deal.

No, it was a mix of stuff, basically 40 or so cars and trucks. He did have a 72, I think, Dodge Duster for 3500, but I dunno who'd want that.

Today we went back and got another truck load of stuff. I got all the glass with the deluxe trim front and back. Evaporator with box, new heater core, bench seat out of a suburban with seat belts, 4 more quadrajets, another breather, SB motor stands, cowl, door handles in and out, ac ball and holders, ignition switch with keys and outer locks for doors. There is some other stuff we got but I can't remember what else. It was still the same deal, no extra cash for anything. I think we pretty much got everything we could get. The guy said that if we think of anything else to just come back.
