looking for my old pickup i used to own
when i was 17, i think the summer of '99 i sold my 72 chevy c-10 2wd. it was corvett white, lowered 2in, mag wheels, custom soft tonneu cover, w/ white and black interior, painted the gray grill black, a roll pan in the rear.
if i remember correctly someone in like Monroe, washington bought it. i lived in randle, washington at the time. this may sound stupid, but i was just curious if anyone on here had it or knows who does. one of those i nevr should have sold it kind of deals if you know what i mean hehe. thanks, mike evans |

Re: looking for my old pickup i used to own
if you remember the buyers name, you can go to the DMV and see if they'll give/sell you the info.
If you still have the VIN (old insurance papers maybe?) the DMV might give/sell you the name of the owner. You might be completely out of luck. Welcome to the boards from central Ohio... I was up in your neck of the woods a few months ago, beautiful area, lotsa cool board members there too. |

Re: looking for my old pickup i used to own
you can go to the dmv to search like longhorn said but if the truck wasnt registered in i wanna say the past 5 yearsm they wont have anything. actually the son of the original owner that owned my truck hired a private investigator and tracked me down cause he wanted to buy it. it was quite awkward coming home from work only to find someone waiting for me to come home that knew everything about me and my truck, haha but maybe that might help you out?

Re: looking for my old pickup i used to own
Posting a pic of the truck when you sold it might help. There are quite a few of us in the areas around Monroe.
You might even think about coming up to the Monroe Swap meet in May and posting a sign stating that you're looking for it.

Frankly I wouldn'r sweat it. These trucks are all built pretty much the same, give or take an option or two. Just buy one like it and fix it up the way you like.

One idea is to post an ad in the specific region on www.Craigslist.com
