Horn is not working
I installed my Grant steering wheel. this one
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...rsview=sku&Ns= and since my tilt is from a 72 I got kit#3163 per grant. I installed it and hooked up the horn. All I heard was a click noise coming from under the dash. Did I do something wrong?

Re: Horn is not working
does it click when you depress the horn button... or did it click once when you hooked it up and that was it?
If it clicks when pushing the button, then the column and wheel are wired properly. If it only clicked upon installing and hooking it up, then your button isn't done right. The grant kits are on the chintsy side of things. The click you hear is the horn relay. The fact that it clicks says that the ground circuit from the switch (horn button) is being completed, and the horn should be honking. The problem with the horn not sounding off is south of the relauy... not plugged into the horn, horn not grounded good enough, horn is dead/packed with dead wasps. |

Re: Horn is not working
clicking noise is your horn relay energising// the problem is either the wiring from the relay to the horns or the horns// did the horns work prior to the steering wheel install?

Re: Horn is not working
It clicks when I push the button. Also I got out my meter and hooked it up to the horn wire. With no horn button pushed 0. When pushed 12 volts. Could be bad horn.

Re: Horn is not working
unbolt horn from core support then clean the mounting surface on both horn and core supportto shiny metal to ground to core support also make sure there is a ground wire in place from the core support to the frame again shiny metal to shiny metal makes a ground when you have the horn off spray wd40 into the horn trumpet to loosen clean and lubricate the diaphram
