Longhorn bed mount brackets

Does anyone out their know?
I have a 72 C30 with a utility bed on it. (Plumbers special!)
I want to put the Longhorn bed that I have on it instead.
Are the brackets that are riveted to the frame to attach the bed to different on a longhorn or a 1 ton frame?
In other words, What do I need to Git-r-done?
Thanks
Ron

Re: Longhorn bed mount brackets

if yours was a cab-chassis truck originally, then yes, you'll need the factory bed mounts.

Longhorn Man-
Thanks for the info and pics
More questions; though
Will I need the mounts off of a 1 ton frame?
And how many brackets am I needing total
4 or 8?

Re: Longhorn bed mount brackets

if the windchill wasn't like eleventybillion below zero, I'd go out and double check... but since it is...
I *think* it's just the 4 up front. I thenk the rest of it mounts directly to the frame.

Re: Longhorn bed mount brackets

Longhorn Man-
As I look at your pics some more; the brackets I was cornfused about are the overload spring stops. I was wondering if the 1 ton bed brackets were different than the 1/2 or 3/4 ton frame brackets as I was under the impression that the 1 ton frames ,133" wheelbase, were heavier made and thusly a different size. I have a couple of 1/2 parts trucks if those bed mounts were the same.By the way it is 13 degrees here in sunny Kansas right now. Bet It's a lot colder up your way!
