Hey guy's I'm searchiing to find out the differnces in the 67-72 cabs and doors.
For the cab: I realize the differences such as high hump-low hump, cable throttle-mech. throttle, and ac-non ac. I'm redoing a 72 with a bad cab. I have a 70 cab and a 71 cab. The 70 cab is VERY nice and the 71 cab is rusty but repairable. What are the differences in these cabs compared the 72 cab?

For the doors: I have the same questions for the doors off the 70 cab and 71 cab. I realize the 72 only regulator, handle post to open, trim panel and recessed screw below vent glass. The 70 doors are mint in original paint. The 71 doors are rust free but dinged up. So.......are there any differences I'm not seeing?

I really want to keep this truck "correct". Thanks for looking.

The accelerator cable and mounting are different on the 71-72 compared to the 70 which has the rod instead of the cable. The 71-72 cab has a larger flat area where the accelerator mounts that was formed when the fire wall was made so adapting the cable setup to a 70 cab is a bit of a project.

The 70-71 doors are the same but are different from the 72 doors as you pointed out.

the 71 cab will have a raised area where the mirror attatched to the roof. unless you're going for a 100 point resto, i would use whichever cab is better. i'm using a 71 cab for my 72 cheyenne resto. i like the mirror on the roof instead of the windshield anyway.

71 and 72 cabs have a vent in the drivers side doorjam to vent pressure when closing the doors. 67s have a smaller ignition bezel and 67-68s have the hand operated parking brake. I have noticed different bracing under the gas tanks from year to year, but nobody will ever see that. Also, I have seen that some catalogs will list the windshield weatherstrip for stainless trim as different for 71-72, but that is most likely a difference in the trim itself.
