want to TRADE drop springs

I have a set of 5 or 6 inch drop coils for the rear... I'd like to trade them for a pair of 3 or 4 inch drop coils.

A c-notch will probably be needed for mine... just so no one get a surprise when installing them. I was unaware of this when i got them.
These are brand new, I don't care if your trade is new, as long as they are good.

if no one comes along with a trade, then I may be willing to trade you some cash for them.

Re: want to TRADE drop springs

You know the rear burb drop springs are different than the trucks dont you? I bought 4 inch drop for my panel and then found out the burb 4 inch drop are beefier. Now I have both.

Re: want to TRADE drop springs

I used 6" drop springs on my old '69 suburban years ago. I don't think the springs make that much difference,... I think it's just that the frame is different than a pickup frame. (just my opinion) Mine needed a notch also.

Re: want to TRADE drop springs

Andy, I think I've got a set on my spare coil spring frame. I know they're drop, but I don't know how much. I'll see if I can clean them up and see if it says anywhere on them. I'll let you know.

Re: want to TRADE drop springs

Andy, it appears they are CPP 4" drop springs (part no. 603-4). Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic. They're not "like new" but they're pretty decent.

Let me know if you're interested.

I fly to Vegas on Friday March 7th. I'll be flying out of Columbus at 8:45pm. If you want to wait that long. I don't know of a trip any sooner than that.

Re: want to TRADE drop springs

I think you've got a Panel I wouldn't mind trading for

Of course then neither of us would be happy.. you'd have the wheels and I'd have the Panel!

Re: want to TRADE drop springs

hmmmmmm....
You driving here then flying out, or taking a cropduster/puddle jumper here? I'd feel funny standing in CMH with a couple sets of coils standing in front of starbucks... Not to mention the security has become a PITA. They have given me flack for walking too fast, for being too observant (looking around too much), all kinds crap. I KNOW they would find some reason to give us trouble.
What airline you taking to get there?
CG... I was gonna ask you about this... since you are the first to inform me of seperate part numbers for burb springs verses truck springs... did you ever install the truck springs under your panel?

Re: want to TRADE drop springs

Nope never installed them. I can dig em out and take a side by side pic. Or you could PM PICKMUP and ask him. I purchased both sets from him. Truck springs would probably be fine. I might use the panel to tow stuff so I figured the heavier duty would be best.

But then I thought about helper bags if I towed stuff. Or how bout air bags all the way around, or, or , or....lol. This is how I end up with extra stuff. Im constantly changing my mind.

Re: want to TRADE drop springs

Yeah, I'll be getting a ride to Columbus and flying non-stop to Vegas from there. Maybe we could meet up at the McDonald's outside the airport? I'm flying US Airways.

It's a Friday, and the flight leaves 8:45pm. I probably won't leave Cincy until 3:30-4:00, so we might have some time in there, but not a whole lot.
