Sat pics (2-9) just me again.

I didn't have a lot going on this time around. I went by and checked out Brian's homemade door manuvering attachment. Seemed to be pretty darn effective.

I also picked up a sample of our new club shirts. It didn't photograph very well but I really like it!

I went to get in the truck and thought this might make a good shot.

My favorite pair of shades!

I cruised up on Myrtle Hill in Rome. You can see for miles from up there! The pics didn't turn out as nice as I would have liked but here ya go!

Here's the mausoleum that you can see the top of in the previous pic. It was almost impossible for me to get it in the frame. This cemetery is built on such a steep hill that has been terraced. I couldn't really stand far enough back to get it in the pic.

You can also see the old clocktower in the distance.

Here's some info on the tower.

Re: Sat pics (2-9) just me again.

I really like this shot.

I've always read and been told to keep the sun at my back when making these kinds of shots. As you can see, that rule just wouldn't work with me for this shot.......but I like it.

A lot of these images just seem to work better with sepia or black and white tints added to them. I started not to post the color shots and just move on to the effects......But then I wouldn't have a good excuse to bump this thread back to the top tomorrow! I hope you guys like em!

Nice pictures, but nicer truck! Very nice!! How much of a drop do you have? I've been kicking around dropping mine so will be checking drops vs. pics. Thanks!

Re: Sat pics (2-9) just me again.

Thanks guys!

The camera I used for these is a Kodak easyshare Z712IS. It's a point and shoot with some added settings. It does well for daytime shots and situations where I need a zoom, but when the light starts getting low I put it away and get out my old camera. (This is a pic of the Z712IS)

Scott, I'm glad to see you posting on here again! I dig that new avatar pic as well. I talked a security guard in to letting me pull mine out on the track and shooting my own pic while we were at the Turkey Run. As far as I know I was the only person who got away with this all weekend.

Number98, There is probably more than one screw that needs replaced on this old truck! It actually has a screw in the bezel that isn't even supposed to be there (installed by the previous owner). The truck really needs a full set of moldings and a grill shell, taillight bezels and bumpers. Of course then I would be a bit more paranoid about drivng it. I've been averaging about 5000 miles a year on this one. I know that doesn't sound like a lot but I only live a mile from work so it takes a while to rack em up. This one is my work truck. I haul mulch in it, haul off my garbage, and all the little trips to lowes. I try to be careful loading it but it does still get used. My other truck is the nicer of the two, and as a result I seldom drive it. I have been making more of an effort here lately to make sure it gets its turn on the pavement............but I just like driving this one so much it's hard to leave it parked.

Awesome track shot!! Wish I could take some more laps around Darlington. Trying to get some at Charlotte one day. And dont worry about the screw...it adds character!!!!
