Re: Trick road handeling suspension.
Okay I am planning on a weekend long hash at my truck this weekend. Stinks it's out state and I have to spend the night to get any work. Work will be slow as I am cleaning and painting as I go. Another question about handling. Has any one ever installed a steering dampener? What is your take on the benefits of one?

Re: Trick road handeling suspension.
I haven't seen anyone use a damper on a 2wd. I really don't even know how one would be mounted. Isn't that something that's usually used in 4x4 applications. Either way TTT for ya.

Re: Trick road handeling suspension.
All it is is a shock mounted to the steering arm and attached to the core support or some other static chassis part. It is mainly for off-road to the wheel doesn't rip out of your hands in rough spots. I don't think it would be worth while on a 2 wheel drive truck because I barely feel the road now with power steering.

Re: Trick road handeling suspension.
rust, be very careful with the bus booster.i had a buddy who did a bus booster on a 1 ton dually (all Furd stuff) and the first time he hit the brakes he had to replace the windsheild. The brakes were so touchy you could barely stop the truck without locking them up.Took a good while to get used to.He left it that way because it was a wrecker and usually had a car on back.Otherwise it was way too much.

Re: Trick road handeling suspension.
Before I had the airbags in and the frame and front suspension was on jack stands I was looking at the camber curve of these trucks.....it looked all basackwards to me. I think one could pick up some serious handling improvements by changing some of this. I may change mine around a little in the future, but right now I'm just going to go the route of big front sway bar, camaro rear swaybar, adjustable shocks (Probably QA1), and fat rubber (275 front/315 rear). I gots a vette to go around the twisties
