Re: monday i start to daily drive my 68 50th...

I was told and maybe wrong...In Ohio one could register plates that are made the same year as a truck (1970 plates for 1970 truck) and drive it as regular plates. If that's not the case what are the restrictions on Historical plates which my truck now has? Just curious? Thanks

Right there with ya - I drove my new acquisition about 60 miles today. No issues, even in bumper to bumper ATX traffic.
I <3 it. |

Re: monday i start to daily drive my 68 50th...
Check with the DMV first. Then Ask the the guys that pull you over (State Trooper). In Missouri you can run an old tag as long as it is NOT being used as a current tag. In Missouri in 1967 they only ran one tag on trucks so mine is cool. I have one. They require a picture of old tag and all of the regular stuff to get a plate like Proof of insurance, registration, property tax payment, and filling out form for antique vehichle plates. You gotta ask them though. Your state may ask for different info from you. You also need to ask how far you can drive it and when and where you can drive it. Some states are very hardcore about vintage tags and driving them anywhere and anytime. I spent the time to find out for my truck, you gotta dig you own info. They do look cool and really out of place so I'd expect the small town locals to look dumbfounded as you drive by with 1967 or 68 (or whatever year you mangae to apply) plates. GET READY and keep it real. DAVID
