another '97 ?, still runs ok

Our '97 454 starts on first couple of turns when cold. At operating temps, it will spin a good bit, pause, then try again, maybe 2-3 times. Sometimes, just when you let off the starter, it will kick off. Reminds me of points, condensor days, when a starter was pulling too much amperage.
Fuel pump, starter, all tune-up stuff new/reman in last 15,000mi.

Is this just confirmation I'm ready for new injectors?
Mechanic said it was due with 133,000 on it. Truck runs fine and has never failed to start.
