Lowering springs pic...burb vs truck
I dont know if you burb guys knew they make heavier duty lowering springs for burbs and panels. It came up on the board the other day so I dug out my springs and I snapped a pic of the two different styles for everyone. Both are 4" lowering, one for truck and one for burb/panel.

Not to hi-jack, but where did you get the ones for the Burbs? Do you know if they offer different drops?

I dont know if they make different drops. I got them from PICKMUP here on the board. You will have to ask him.

Re: Lowering springs pic...burb vs truck
thats got to be the rear springs, right? Makes sense, cause burbs and panels have alot more weight in the rear.

Re: Lowering springs pic...burb vs truck

Re: Lowering springs pic...burb vs truck
I didn't know.I have the springs (4 in drop) on my panel.I haven't had weather/time to do the spindles yet.I am hoping for the stance to be what i want but had thought I may have to go to a 3 in spring.I also may do some light towing(small travel trailer) eventually and the heavier spring may be the ticket for that.

Re: Lowering springs pic...burb vs truck
Mark, can you place a tape measure down thru the coils and do a measurement comparison of height?. The thick one looks almost 1" shorter!

Re: Lowering springs pic...burb vs truck
Yeah its shorter but as you can see a lot more stout. Im guessing there isnt much give when you set the body down compared to the truck version.

Re: Lowering springs pic...burb vs truck
I bet it would be bouncy, to say the least, due to the lighter spring and heavier weight of the burb.

Re: Lowering springs pic...burb vs truck
I know you are bound to carry some weight in that burb. So are they any softer than the original springs?

Re: Lowering springs pic...burb vs truck
I ordered 6" drop coils from ECE for my burb and when I let the jack down, there was about an inch between the rear and the frame. Sent 'em back and got airbags.

Re: Lowering springs pic...burb vs truck
Tim, are you runnin a notch in the rear of the Burb ? How is the ride with the truck springs ? cant decide which way to go ,springs or bags now another choice on the springs. Maybe that is why Dave at ECE recommended 3.5 front and 5 rear cus the burb springs are shorter than the truck. Concerned about the effecte of almost 500 Ft lbs of torque from the Cad! Thanks! Steve
