need help with 48 chevy p/u
I got a chance to make a trade for a 48 5 window shortbed. The problem is the botched a camaro clip instal and put the body on a 65 swb frame. They haven`t made any mounts yet, just using wood for spacers to see how it would fit. I haven`t looked at the truck in person yet so I don`t know how it looks but from the pictures it`s pretty clean. Will the 65 swb frame work? I know I`ll have to make mounts but what about the wheelbase and track width? I`d hate to do the trade and have to find a different frame although I can find S10`s in my area all day long for around $300-500. What do you think guys?

maybe it depends on what your trading, but if the overall frontend, cab,and box are decent it mite be worth putting onan s-10 or stock chassis

The body seems pretty clean but they did cut the firewall a bit to fit a 430 buick/th40 set up. I don`t mind replacing the firewall. I`m going to go look at it on sunday. I was just wondering if it would work fitting it to the 65 frame.

Re: need help with 48 chevy p/u
dump the 65' frame as the front track width is too wide for the AD truck. s-10 is a better choice.
