The "first" time I installed my tank, I had the straps bolted too close to the inside of the frame. What happend was the straps kept the ear on the tank from catching on the bottom of the frame. So I had to redrill the bolt holes for the straps farther out on the frame which gave me more room to move the tank side to side and more strap adjustment. I just pushed the tank to the center spot. I haven't driven my truck yet, so i don't know if it will slide or not. Probably 2 small bolts to be screwed to the frame on each side of the tank, right against the 2 ears. One on each side would stop the tank moving side to side.
