Back Yard Painting

I started striping and sanding the inside cab of my truck in December before Christmas.
I could only work on it a few hours a week, and could only paint when the weather was 60 degrees or better here.(Alabama)
This turned out very well considering I am not a painter or have never done body work to amount to anything. When I did not know what to start with or how to do it I came and asked some pretty stipid questions and all of you all gave me the answers I needed.
If I can do it then anybody can. Just take your time and ask questions someone has gone through this before.
Thanks again all of you.
I will see if I can get the pictures loaded.
David

Nice job! I really like the dash. What are the seats out of? They look to have integrated seat belts (99 up?)

Re: Back Yard Painting

The gas tank cover is one I made that has 2 speakers in it. I saw one that someone had made in a car show and asked him how he did it.
Really simple, It is formed with chicken wire, walmart fiberglass laid on the top of it .After that i carried it to a trim shop that glued headliner material on top.

The paint is base coat clearcoat. I went to the paint shop to buy one quart of charcoal gray and the salesperson said that they had just had a gallon of this color returned to them because it didn't match. He said that if I was willing to change colors he would sell me the gallon for $25.00. I do not know what color it is I am colorblind It looks grey to me.
