Looks good MrE! Did you paint/powder coat any of the from suspension parts? Or did they come that way from ECE?

Everything you see in black is powder coated. I painted the ball joints, and all the tie rods, and steering parts a cast iron grey. I just removed the spindles and painted them as well. I'll put them back on Saturday. Thanks for the tip 67Shortie.

Beautiful! Yes, I painted my ECE spindles as well.

Chassis looks like mine - any links to the rest of the buildup?

Re: ECE Spindles and Coils are ON!

Were you able to raise lower control arm and compress spring without lifting bare frame off the ground?

Thanks for sharing, progress looks awesome.

Re: ECE Spindles and Coils are ON!

Cheyenne10- I have the the frame on jack stands. I didn't even need a spring compressor. I installed the lower balljoint on the spindle first. Inserted the coil, raised the lower control arm with a jack, and lowered the top control arm. The frame never came off the stands.

Joe-67: This is as far as I have gotten. I should start a build thread, but it seems that there may be more pressure to get more done if I do. I will also need to come up with a build thread name. My students suggested: "The MisterE Machine" and "MisterE's Homework Assignment".

Any suggestions?

Re: ECE Spindles and Coils are ON!

Does anyone know how well powdercoat will hold up on suspension parts? It might be a dumb question, but a frame is rigid, where suspension parts are constantly moving. I'm trying to determine the best path for me to take with my suspension parts... paint vs. powder.

Re: ECE Spindles and Coils are ON!

You have a very nice project to work on. I would have loved to take mine down that far the first time and start from scratch. Im on my 3rd cab and the next time it comes off will be the last time. When mine comes back in the garage I hope to be in the same spot your in right now, rebuilding with clean painted or coated parts.
