67 wing wing handles on a '68-72 wind wing?

I got a decent pair of windwings from the junkyard off a '70, and I wanted to swap the handles back to a '67, but it looks like the posts aren't long enough. Has anyone ever done this, and do you have to swap out the post on the windwing??

I'm not sure about this, but I think the 67s are integrated into the frame and 68-72s have a hole in the glass.

I've never seen a 67 one, so I'm not sure what the difference is in their mounting. I would imagine if they both screw on, that there would be a way to make it work.

Re: 67 wing wing handles on a '68-72 wind wing?

The one with the lines in it is the '67, but the post that it mounts to is what I'm talking about - it seems to be longer on the '68-72's. I tried putting my '67 handles on a '70 windwing, and it's like it's too big, maybe a little too deep. I guess I'll have to rebuild my old ones.
