Missouri Ice Monster

Well, I didn't know what else to call this, but this is the result of about 1/2 to 3/4 inch of ice that we got from Sunday night until Tuesady morning. Downed trees and power lines once again, but not quite as bad as 2007 was. I lost my power for about 4 hours Monday night. Glad I had the fireplace going to keep the house warm at least.

My old 86 K10 looks pretty sad sitting there with all that ice all over her, but as soon as this crummy weather breaks I'm going to give the old girl some attention and try to get her up and running again. ...Joe

Re: Missouri Ice Monster

It is VERY COLD! Supposed to warm up to somewhere in the 40's tomorrow! Ice really sucks! I can handle as much snow as can fall, but this ice crap is for the eskimos!

That's funny you should say that...I had a van in at work today and I was peeling the 1/2 " of ice of the hood to be able to open it and there was actually paint stuck to the ice! Not that the van would notice it missing...

Yep, makes you really appreciate the power when you lose it. We were lucky and did not get anything here in Western Kentucky South of Paducah that is. Puducah got a lot of ice and it is just 20 miles North of me. We got nothing. Just some wind.
