woo hoo!!! mostly succesful test drive!
well, after waiting 4 months for my transmission to find its way back home, and having to finish it myself, i just made a 8 mile round trip sucessfully! it does roar like heck at 60 mph, but im guessing thats the dryrotted mud tires. also has a pretty good vibration, but that also feels like tires. the oil PSI stays at 45 at idle, and 70 at 2300 RPM, 190* F. overall, minus one annoying dog, it was pretty good!

Re: woo hoo!!! mostly succesful test drive!
Congrats on the test drive. At least you made it back in one piece. Why are you so determined to get rid of your short bed truck? I think it looks good from the pics I've seen. I know it's not a 4wheel drive but you can fix that. Warren has all the parts from that green blazer that would set you right in place.
What's the deal man? Last edited by b.sharp; 02-04-2008 at 08:56 AM. |

Re: woo hoo!!! mostly succesful test drive!
honestly the only cool factory option it had was a center black seat belt, which is of course long gone
i added the toolbox and cab lights-- bed is off a texan 72 GMC, cab lights came from TSC. i have a factory spot light im going to put in, and trying to work a deal on a factory tach
