Dana rear end on spid

Does a Dana 60 usually show on a spid for a 1/2 ton?

No. AFAIK, the only D60s in 1/2 tons were in some big block trucks.

This truck appears to have been special order.

60s in a half ton are extremely rare, i believe Wes at classic heartbeat had one some time ago. i personally have never seen one myself.

Re: Dana rear end on spid

Some GMC 1500's had Dana 60's. It was a special version called a 60-35, and it was non-floating with 6 lug flanges. Only available with leaf springs, I think.

Re: Dana rear end on spid

I think the guy at the driveline shop said it was marked 60B? He has owned the shop over 35 years and also said it was rare.
