Got it, don't spot weld them. I held off from doing so.

The second pic doesn't have the hood all the way shut, but when it is shut and the hinges are lifted up still have that 1/2" height difference. The only thing I didn't adjust was the hood stops closest to the cab, dunno if that will help close the gap any. Any other suggestions or recommendations. Thanks
