Seat mounting brackets - resto tips??

just wondering..... has anyone any tips on how to properly dismantle bench seat mounting brackets?? I'd like to get the slider out of the base, but it appears as if it's locked in by rivets.

would be much easier to properly bead blast and powdercoat if they were apart.......

any good idears??

Re: Seat mounting brackets - resto tips??

I have the same question. I have a folding bench seat out of a 90's chevy truck. The brackets sit to high for me in my 69, so I want to remove the brackets from a 69 seat, powder coat and bolt to the folding bench. If no one else answers I may have mine apart next week.
