What size Air Filter
Hey, i am in the progess of buying a new air filter from Amsoil. I'd prosonal would like the big air filter lik a 14 inch size, hieght of the filter, 6 inch. Do you know if that would fit under teh hood of a 350 small block engine? Or is that something i would have to check out and look myself? If you wanna see the photo go to www.amsoil.com and the part number is EaAR2106. Thanks

I would recommend cutting a cardboard box and try different sizes to check different clearances. s/t

Re: What size Air Filter
I have a 14x4 on an edelbrock rpm intake/3/4" spacer , & a 3310 Holley. The truck also has 1 1/2" body drop(fits snug). My guess, is if you are rock stock(intake, carb, ect), a 6" tall filter will fit.....but you dont need that much height. crazyL OOPS , mine is a 69

Re: What size Air Filter
If a 4" is tight - I don't see 2" more making it in there.
Just stick with the regular old 14x4 Amsoil - they are good filters. The best foam style available - and the only one I would recommend. They don't break down like the others. DLB |
