I have a heater blower that just spins at "idle" speeds. I ass*u*me that the problem is in the pot attached to the switch, but could an electrical guru give me a troubleshooting approach/process if this is NOT the problem?

NON A/C - should have noted that. It's a *very* base Custom/10

Most likely your blower resistor--trace wires to heater box from switch--will loke like coils of wire. To check blower motor remove wire from motor and run a jumper wire from + post of bat. If it runs at full speed your problem is in the resistor or the switch itself.

Follow-up since I finally just got around to it...it only took me 2 years

I replaced the blower resistor to no effect. The blower runs full speed with a jumper to the motor directly.

heading out to replace the switch right now

I'm usually not a "parts changer" but the consensus seemed to be pretty focused on the resistor as the source, and it was cheap

I'll also check the relay while I'm looking.
