Is it just me or do you hate black rims?

I just don't like rims at all. I like the older wheels from before i was on this earth.. slotts, mags, cragar 5 spokes. The black rallies look good but so do most body color rallies. I agree about the black "rims" but its not on my truck and yes some can pull it off. BTW soft 8's in black look sweet on lifted trucks with 33 or bigger tires.

I actually like the black wheel. Why! Less cleaning and polishing!

I want to paint my truck a sating black with black wheels.

Spray it off with a water hose and be done.

Some people enjoy waxing and washing there paint and polishing there wheels every day... NOT ME!

I even ripped out the carpet and replaced it with Poly Vinyl because the carpet gets too dirty.

To each there own... Laterz!

Those are AR TTs with black powder coated centers. Unfortunately, American Racing does not offer an 8 lug version (8 spokes?).

I guess I'm not following you. I was saying that the TTs do not come in a 8 lug. (To have a 8 lug version, I would think that the TT would have to have 8 spokes.) You're buddy is 'bably limited in the wheels for a 3/4 ton 8 lug wheel. Maybe, consider something like a Billet Specialties Hauler Series. (Beware not Cochino-friendly. )

I think black wheels are awesome. I personally plan to do some black rallies when I get some other stuff fixed on the truck.

To me it gives it that "It may be old, but I roll it like a Benz" look. Don't care what other people think.

I hate black wheels. Too many years cleaning brake dust off, waiting for spring to get the black rims and snows off, the Mennonites painting their wheels and chrome black. When I get Rallys the first thing I do is give them a shot of metalic silver- even if I have nothing to put them on, I don't want to store them unless they're right!

But there is always exceptions and usually it requires a polished lip to make the rim look clean. A few trucks on this thread that wouldn't get kicked out of my garage!!!

For me it completely depends on the overall look of the vehicle. I've seen some sick looking vehicles with black rims, and I've seen some real hum-dinger's...
