Trans-transfercase coupler.

Was wandering if anyone new of an aftermarket part to replace the sleeve between the trans and tcase on a 4speed np205 setup? This seems to be a weak link in an otherwise bulletproof setup.

Re: Trans-transfercase coupler.

Did you try the dealership? I thought I had read somewhere you may still be able to get it new.

Aside from that, you have to find a used one, or have one made ($$$). I would just find a later model 32 spline pair instead at that point.

Re: Trans-transfercase coupler.

The one I have is not broken, but I know from previous experience this is the first/only thing that seems to break when you put serious amounts of torque through a 4 speed 205 setup. I was wandering if there was an aftermarket part to strengthen this part of the drivetrain.

Re: Trans-transfercase coupler.

I recently googled "10 spline coupling", because my truck has massive slop when you get on and off of the gas, and found...

http://quad4x4.com/GM%20Transfer%20Case.htm

Both are $80-85. The one from quad says its made in the USA.

Hope this helps.
