single wall top help
well I finally got around to repairing and installing the top on my blazer, Problem is, the rear hatch wont latch, I think I am missing some hardware. Its too dark to take pictures tonight, but if anyone has them handy it would be awesome! It is just bungee corded shut for now.

Re: single wall top help
YOu should have pivoting latches in the hatch and vertical rods about an inch long that bolt onto the top at the mount bracket.

Re: single wall top help
Good question! I would like to see some pics too!
Mine has the latch on the hatch, but nothing on the tailgate...or does it latch into the side of the top?

Re: single wall top help
From what I can remember it does latch to the top on each side and the handle works like a garage door locking mechanism. Rotate the handle and the rods pull in. The tailgate and hatch latch independently.

Re: single wall top help
They have kinda a flatened u-shaped pieces of metal low on each side of the top. If you look on the sides of your hatch when open you should see the latches that hook into them. You also should be able to see a couple holes on each side of your top where they were. It's late, dark and cold out right now, or I'd take a picture of them. Will get a shot off to you tomorrow, if someone doesn't do it first.

I notice that the catch assemblies are opposite of each other. Which is the correct position?

Re: single wall top help
ok guys, i just got some catches for my rear hatch and installed them today, i think i know why mine were gone now, i had the tailgate down when i shut the latch thankfully. it locked and it appears that both the rods for the realease are not hooked to the handle, does anyone have a write-up on replacing the handle? mine has no keys and i heard that a garage door handle works?
