Anyone here have expeience replacing the friction pads on the upper door hinge? I'd appreciate the procedure for that.

The stop has to be removed from inside the door after you drive the roll pin out. Once the stop is out, the pads can be removed. Replacement pads are available but I cut the friction blocks out of old brake shoes, shaping to fit. I use trim adhesive to glue the friction blocks in place. The home made friction blocks work well for a long time!
