Re: hood trim
Boat I remember what you are talking about, it was big in the day. Look at JC Whitney I think I remember seeing stuff like that in my last catalog.

Re: hood trim
They looked nice when new. One problem with them was they stayed wet/damp behind them from rain and washing and would prematurely rust the hood out behind them. Stainless would have been better than chrome and they're generally just an appearance item.

Re: hood trim
I've looked but couldnt find them. About 8-9 years ago I seen one at tractor supply but it looked like it was leftover stock from a long time ago.

Re: hood trim
I had one of those pieces on my hood. I thought it was stainless, but the thing rusted right through. I've been kind of looking for a new one,but haven't seen any, yet. The hood rusted big time behind the piece. I thought it would have been called a bug shield.

Re: hood trim
If you really wanted one in stainless, an option is buy some of the stick on stainless for below the body line, and cut it to fit. I know not the best solution but it might work.

Re: hood trim
They were called hood protectors...funny thing is, they didn't do a dang thing to "protect" it.
I would not run one of them personally...I think they look tacky. Just my opinion.
