16-inch 8 lug rims
Did they make them or only 16.5-inch? I got rid of the 16.5 and went to a newer wheel to get the 16-inch but now I want to go back to tehstock wheel cover but want a 16-inch rim for my 3/4 ton. F.Monroe has a pck of his 3/4 w/ the stock covers, that's the look I'm going for.

Re: 16-inch 8 lug rims
Hello,
They made them. They're harder than hell to find though. As you said, most of the stock steel wheels are 16.5's. I have a set of four of the 16" steels you're after. Too bad you're so far away ... Joe |

Re: 16-inch 8 lug rims
My 87 has the stock hubcaps all around and the rear wheels are 16.5x9.75 with 33x12.50x16.5's . I have pics of the truck with the factory narrow 16's but I dont think I have any that show the 16.5's very well . The look is what I am used to seeing in our area on these trucks . Just looks right to me . As far as wide 16 inch wheels go , I have never seen them . Only the 16.5's . Frank

Re: 16-inch 8 lug rims
I have two complete sets of those wheels, with hub caps. Can't give em away around here, so I use the tires as rollers for various rigs that come in with bad tires, and the hub caps as bolt bins

Re: 16-inch 8 lug rims
I fianlly gave up and found some newer alloys with cap, look really nice. But I do recall the wider rear wheels, usally were used with a large camper back in the 70's. I know you can have a stock steel rim split, we use to split them in High Scholl shop.
Hey welcome to the board

Re: 16-inch 8 lug rims
Well, I'm still in the hunt for the right candidate - though I'm going to be looking at an '80 K30 crew tomorrow, and sometime this weekend (if I can ever pin the guy down) a '78 C20 crew. In the meantime, I've got my '02 Duramax 3500 to keep me company. Here's a shot of it after a couple of hours in the Arkansas back country....
