So the hose just hangs there? I'm sure I can make this thing work, if I have to I'll wait til Monday and call them back.

the hose is a vent. for fluid or air. it just kind of sits there.

I am getting ready to do the same thing my trans doesdn't have the pressure port but I will be installing a sonnax servo while I'm in there. The hose is a vent take that long black extension off you don't need it and the cover comes off with a snap ring but its a pain in the ... you could put some grease on the bit and drill slow and then when you tap use grease.
