I need some HELP!!

Ok, I took out my motor rebuilt it and re-installed it. One of the mods were headers, I bought some Sumitt (brand) shorty headers and realized today that they do NOT fit. They hit the frame on both sides, there is NO WAY to get the two rear bolts lined up with the holes.

Has anyone else encountered this?

What are my options?

If I use shorty "block huggers", will they clear the starter?

I need some ideas, we are moving on monday and I don't want to rent a car hauler to move it.

Thanks for your help!!

Block huggers don't work, I've been down that road. Early Classic has some really nice headers, check them out. www.earlyclassic.com

Re: I need some HELP!!

Summit is pretty good about returns on stuff, in most cases.

Re: I need some HELP!!

I hope so, I've never had to return anything to them. The Summit brand of headers, which is what I have, are not that good of a product. From the cold welds, uneven flange and paint that falls off when you look at it, just seems like very poor prep and\or assembly line folks that could care less.
