A couple of ?'s.May sound stupid

What is the opinion on the URO taillites.I like the look on some vehicles. But on our style truck?I also noticed a cowl induction hood scoop on E-bay.The hood scoops I have seen that have been added to a stock hood always stand out like a sore thumb. So save the money for a real induction hood?.Are mud flaps a no no.My truck is a DD and there are times they would help keep the truck cleaner a bit longer.I wash my truck 2-3 times a week.I hate a dirty truck. Is a suttle/small flap OK.?

It is your truck, add anything you want to on it. I have one rule about my truck,if i like it i don't care what anyone else thinks.

JUST MY OPINION,... (since you asked) I don't like the euro tailights. Looks like the truck belongs to a high school kid. GM did a good job with the styling of the trucks. Save your money for some nice new (not scratched up) oem taillights. My 2 cents.

it's your truck and the only one you got to please is you. The small flaps would work

That's because the person that installed it didn't know what they were doing, I have seen many scoops added to stock hoods that looked good. It's all in how it's done.....

Also, Like the others stated.....It's your truck so have it to suit yourself. If everyone done everything the same this would be a bland world.

Re: A couple of ?'s.May sound stupid

if i had my way all trucks would be raised and two tone with lots of chrome cause thats what i like.. being people are diverse so are our trucks and you should build yours to suit your needs and tastes.. im of the opinion that taillights should be stock and unmolested as they are a safety item
cowl hoods look cool IMHO and id get a good one and not try to morph an aftermarket piece on a stock one

1970: I just got done with my restoration. Where I live mud flaps are a must have due to salt ect. I'm going to use pieces of conveyer belt that run from side to side. 1 directly behind the front wheels,1 about the end of the fuel tanks and 1 behind the rear wheels. I'm also going to put a belly pan under it. I'm hopeing to keep as much crap off the bottom as possible even though the whole bottom of the truck is sprayed with bedliner material, the flaps ect are added protection.

Re: A couple of ?'s.May sound stupid

In my opinion, the euro tail lights are just plain gaudy on american vehicles.

Have we forgotten where euro/altezza lights came from ?

TOYOTA !!! They were first used on the Lexus IS and the look was quite a hit but not everyone can afford a Lexus. Companies started making these for just about every car and they became popular because kids could get the expensive look with out having a Lexus.

If you want the import look for your truck then euro's are the ticket. I just can't bring myself to put import inspired parts on my truck.

Oh I don't know, I like my euros on my truck the majority of people that see em like em and want to know where I got them, the plus side is they are a hell of a lot brighter than the OEMs.

Re: A couple of ?'s.May sound stupid

it's your truck if you like it do it to heck with what anyone else says.

we got a cab visor and stick on ram air scoops on our 84 and tons of people hate them but we like em and some others do.

As for mud flaps I always thought nah grandpa truck, we had em on the 84 and removed em to do bodywork, and want to put them back on, they are small but work good and don't look bad.

I kinda like euro tails to be different then stock, but my dad said he hates em, he thinks they look like the taillight is broken.

Re: A couple of ?'s.May sound stupid

I had euros on my truck and then moved them to my son's truck. I upgraded to the stock lenses, but installed the LED light kit from LMC. It is a great setup and works really well.

Re: A couple of ?'s.May sound stupid

Just do a good job of whatever you do, like Malo83's lights, for instance. (That's a nice truck.) I personally wouldn't do mine with euro-lights but I've seen them look good on other's trucks.

Also, there were a couple of forum FAQ threads about brighter LED lights.
