Frame differences
Am wondering if anyone knows of any frame differences in the 1/2 to 3/4 ton trucks on the 47-55?
To my knowledge the frame is the same from the back cab mounts forward, once past the cab mounts is where the difference comes to play. The reason am asking is I have been looking at the chassis engineering MII kit and they say for 1/2 ton trucks only. So that makes me think there is some difference in the front end of the frame, and if so do any other companys IFS work with the 3/4 ton. Thanks...Eric

Re: Frame differences
I'll ask my brother as my mom's '54 is a longbed and he just had the MII front end welded up last year. P.S. the '54 and 55 1st have a different back than previous years as the beds are different. Found that out the hard way when I went to a 47-53 sb frame from the '54 3/4 ton longbed my mom has.
