I had no idea what year the block was in my 69 gmc, so I pulled it out today!
I require some help to decode the numbers I found STAMPED into the block. If you can assist me, it is much appreciated! V0205CLK 14N164821 I really hope these are the correct #'s Thanx |

CLK could be:
'70 400 2bbl from a full size car '71 400 4bbl from a B body car '73 350 4bbl from a Z-28 '74 350 4bbl from a Chevelle or Kingswood '77 - '78 350 4bbl from a B body I agree that it would probably be the '74 motor, since I think the second digit in the partial VIN on the motor indicates the year. Casting date codes could narrow it down better. ------------------ Tim
