Anyone Dealt with GMC Pauls

I priced out all the parts i need for my truck and GMC pauls seems to have the best price but........ I have been trying for a week to get ahold of them by phone and i cannot get thru. 1 time someone actualy answered they knew nothing about the products. I still would like to use them (if i can) does anyone know paul? was he on vacation maybe?? Has anyone purchased from them had any problems?

Thanks
Taylor

Re: Anyone Dealt with GMC Pauls

What few parts I've bought so far have come from him. Plan on buying more from him once the project gets going better. He is a member of this board and a board vendor. I have not heard much bad about him. Most folks on here really like to deal through him.

Re: Anyone Dealt with GMC Pauls

GMC Pauls is a great site vendor. I have had technical questions and Paul has helped solve them. Your right, he is sometimes hard to reach by phone But he does respond to his e-mail. I have even requested that he call - and he has. I think he's spending time with the grandkids - If so, Enjoy em' while there young Paul.

Anyway tbags, try to email him (email address is on his site) he'll answer you back

Re: Anyone Dealt with GMC Pauls

I have had great luck with him. I haven't bought from him for almost 2 years though. That being said, I highly recommend you check out the review board.

Re: Anyone Dealt with GMC Pauls

well im in the process of ordering alot of parts.but 1st just give the company a trail run.so i went with gmcpaul and after to high of shipping, wrong parts, and receiving three different times im done,on to the next guy.
same thing i ordered was several dollars cheaper on shipping,on ebay "after i ordered".then wouldnt send the right part until i sent the wrong one back.kinda feel like with their fault should make it right 1st.
but this is just me and my opinion which im entitled to.since then ive read alot from both sides.

Re: Anyone Dealt with GMC Pauls

Great guy!!! I have had fair service from them in the past.....however...over the past ?????maybe 2 years????? there have been quite a few complaints about them. From other posts it looks like IF you can get through.....you need to speak to and have Paul take your order. My experience has been that is seems it might be a VERY part time business for him and the rest of the family helps out now and then.....I still call to order now and then but rarely get through and end up calling the next person in line.

Re: Anyone Dealt with GMC Pauls

I've ordered from him for years, sometimes small stuff and sometimes big ticket items. I have alway been more than happy. He knows these truck and what works and what doesn't when it come to the parts he sells and to me that is worth a few dollars more any day of the week.

Re: Anyone Dealt with GMC Pauls

Always ordered from him online and had zero problems with the orders. Had to return something once and all I did was stick the part in the box and sent it back. Got the replacement with no hassle.

Re: Anyone Dealt with GMC Pauls

Parts are great and prices are good. I ordered from them about 16 months ago and they answered the phones on the first try. You are not the first person here to say they could not get through to them on the phone. What this means, or is it a concern i don't know. Anyone who has ordered parts recently could answer that better. I do agree that their shipping is high, at least on large items that are delivered to the home.

Re: Anyone Dealt with GMC Pauls

I saw on his website that shipping is free if you order over a certain amount. I can't remember if it was $500 or $1000.
It said oversized items weren't included.
I sent an email and asked if items that aren't marked as oversized were all included. They emailed back and said a lot of items aren't included because of the packing and care that has to be taken to ship. Some of these items included rockers, floor pans, cab corners, etc.
I thought that was fine, I'd rather pay shipping than get damaged sheetmetal.
I ordered a lot of stuff from them and when it arrived, it was all crammed in one box with no packing. Needless to say, all the pieces were scratched up. So far I don't think any are damaged.

I just ordered some trans lines from him a couple of weeks ago. They took longer than expected to show up and then I got real nervous because I didn't have any shipping info. But then the day before I said I was gonna call, they showed up well packaged and in perfect condition.

Re: Anyone Dealt with GMC Pauls

Good quality parts, but I have never gotten to talk to anyone and their shipping costs were questionable. Multiple orders placed over the 'Net.

Not a gripe but not an endorsement either.

Re: Anyone Dealt with GMC Pauls

I always dealt via email, not phone, parts were always super quality and the service was second to none. I've heard a lot of complaints recently about not being able to reach them by phone...but being that I always email, I never had that problem.
