Re: Getting Out Of Trucks (PICS)

After staying up WAYYY too late last night researching these things, I found out the International has taken over the contract to supply the military vehicles since GM decided to cease production on the H1 (uncle's buddy told us that yesterday as well) There are several variations including a car-like version and seems Interantion is supplying almost the whole line-up (if not all). The one Uncle I rode in is more road friendly, non-armored version of the MXT-MV (last 2 pics). The FTTS basically supersedes the Humvee (4th pic). They are pretty awesome lineup to say the least!

Re: Getting Out Of Trucks (PICS)

They also offer the MXT in a plush, luxury civilain version. They have 2 little pickupos also.

The MXT's like uncle and I rode in is powred by a VT365 V8 Diesel (300 HP 530 ft.) and backed by an Allison 5 speed automatic. It actually didn't seem to have that much power, but after digging a little deeper, I found out the thing weighs 10,500 by itself!

Here are the specs:

Body Type: 7-foot pickup bed

• Dimensions: 8 feet wide, 7’7” feet high, and 21” feet long

• Horsepower: 300 Horsepower

• GVWR: 14,500 lbs.

• Weight: 10,500 lbs.

• Chassis Payload Capacity: 2 tons

• Towing: Suitable for a variety of hauling configurations, up to 7 3/4 tons

• Standard Engine: International® VT365 V8 Diesel 300 HP 530 ft. lbs.

• Transmission: Allison® 2200 RDS 5-speed Automatic

• Brakes: Hydraulic Brakes with 4-Channel ABS

• Axles: Front-driving 6,500 lb. capacity, Rear-driving 11,000 lb. capacity

• Fuel Tank: 40-gallon capacity

• Cab: 5-passenger, 4-door crew cab with Cab Air Suspension System

• Seats: Driver and Passenger Leather Front Seats,

• Three Passenger Leather Rear Bench Seat

• Air Conditioner: International® Blend Air System

Re: Getting Out Of Trucks (PICS)

67_C-30-Those last two are the CXTs, and their HUGE, You know the cabs used on the U-haul trucks? That kind of International.

Thats news to me about GM dropping the Gov't contact for the HUMVEE. After the H1 was killed, GM was still in contract producing HUMVEEs. And IIRC, an evolved HUMVEE was spotted in testing. Pretty sure it wasn't International's though.

Re: Getting Out Of Trucks (PICS)

Very good Uncle....you had them going [I'm too old to buy that one]. I was going to ask you to come out west a bit, we need more vehicles like this in Texas!
