door panel Q?

How difficult would it be to take my current door panels and cover them with the blue leather used on dash pad and visors?

Re: door panel Q?

I did these myself with tweed and spray adhesive. Not real easy but do-able. Just take your time.

Re: door panel Q?

however, the vinal (no leather on these trucks) doesn't conform very well.
I'd say very difficult for someone who's never tried anything like it.

That is true, vinyl is a bit thicker than tweed.

I forgot to mention in my other post that I did the door panels myself but I had to have an upholstery shop wrap the leather on the armrests. I tried to do them myself but was wasting the leather. It was too expensive of a learning curve to bother with.

Re: door panel Q?

Here is what I did, worked out well for me and is cheap. If you just want to re-paint just go to autozone and get the vynal/leather dye. Is only 6 bucks and works great! spray paint will just flake off after a while.

Re: door panel Q?

BC, for mine all I did was go to joanns fabric and bought some foam and a yard of vynal. cut the foam/vyan to fit, glued the foam to the door panel, glued the vynal to the trim ring on the panel. then fit everything together.
Took me about 30-45 minutes a piece and this was my 1st time as well.
