Re: oil cooler

Engine oil or tranny?
I run tranny coolers in both my Jimmy and 83 truck.

I mounted it differently after removing the front. Works great!
I bought the biggest cooler the parts stores had A 24000 GVW cooler! I needed a cooler to cool this beast.

Re: oil cooler

I just replaced the oil cooler lines on my 96 Jimmy. The factory adaptor uses the radiator as a cooler.
Check with www.summitracing.com
Part number : BMM-70270
A kit containing a filter relocation kit is best. The key to avoid leaks replacing the o-rings and gaskets on the adaptor. The adaptor screws into the block. The filter then screws into the adaptor.
