Question Electric fuel pump w/ a Q-Jet?

Hey everyone,

My application is pretty basic... I have a 350ci block out of an 89 silverado, that I have converted to a carb set up. I have added "906" Vortec Heads, perfromer spread bore intake, and a 750 cfm 4bbl Q-Jet. Since there is no provision for a mechanical fuel pump with my later style block, I have been forced to use an electric fuel pump.

Currently I am running a cheap o'reily's house brand pump, which does the job, but it only flows up to 4psi. I'm sure that's not enough. Not only that, but it's not regulated.

1. What PSI is appropriate for a 750 cfm 4 bbl Q-Jet Carburetor?
2. Summit sells a self-regulating Carter fuel pumps. They offer it in models that flow up to 6psi, and 8psi... Which will work best with my application?
3. Finally, and I feel dumb for asking. Should I buy the pump that has 1/4" inlet and outlet, or 3/8" inlet and outlet. 3/8" seems a little much for my "just above stock" application.

Here are the links to the pumps... Will they work for what I need, and which will work best?

Carter 8psi universal: (1/4" I/O) http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

Carter 8psi universal: (3/8" I/O) http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

Any light that you may be able to shed on this subject will be greatly appreciated. I'm needing to buy a pump, and install it before this weekend.

Have a great day,

-Jon
