I just got a 49 Chevy and I know what I want to do but I want to see what it can look like when its done. I just want to get more ideas on what I can do to it. I really want to go with the rat look, flat black, with chrome grille and emblems, and 15in smoothie wheels with red wheels and chrome smoothie center cap. I could really just use some pics and maybe some of the inside of them done, not sure about an inside color. Thanks in advance.

Hey Big Green,

Sounds like something similar to my '48. I like your idea of the chrome grill and chrome trim as well. I have all the Stainless Steel trim for the windshield and doors (it's not installed yet) but I have never seen a flat black truck with all that "bling". Ususally you see them in Flat Black with white trim so I'm waiting till the truck is on the road again before I decide about the accessories. My interior is unfinished except for the residential carpet and Beige seats. My truck is painted with John Deer "Blitz Black" enamel paint.

I'll be watching this thread to see what others suggest as well.

This is a GMC that is pretty close to what you were looking for....

Yea, except for the wheels and the GMC grille in a black with chrome outer grille shell. The ONLY thing I want different than that is a smoothie wheel. I like that pic though, thanks alot, it really lets me know what mine will look like. Do I see a pipe in that pic right below the front fender? Kinda looks like a header but that would be really loud...lol...maybe its a cutout that you can uncap when you want to be loud....hmmm.

Man, I kinda like the shaved look but I think I'll keep my door handles and emblem on both sides of my hood.

that truck is pretty steller. I saw one a couple months back I plan on kinda copying, I plan on doig mine like the one in the picture but laying down a red or green base coat first and sanding through the black.

Maybe you can get someone to "Photoshop" you a truck to your specifications?

Thats the wheel and tire I want, unsure of how wide you can get the tires in your pic, I would like a 6 inch on front and 8 in back on the wheel. I think that that wheel and tire would look great on this year truck with the blace base coat paint. Thanks alot I'll see if someone can photoshop a pic.
