i am looking for a 88-98 standard cab truck that has body damage.i just want the chassis and drivetrain to make my 72 a little more comfortable to drive.i know the frames are different,but i can fabricate the necessary brackets.i dont want to travel too far,but somewhere around kansas,oklahome,nebraska.i need something reasonable.if you have anything,let me know

just a little note-- the 88-98 frames are a different wheelbase, they are i beleive 133" for a reg cab longbed. i didnt know if you were including that in something you didnt mind changing, just thought id let you know

yeah,i know there different,im not worried about that wok to change it,im just worried about having everything for the engine,tranny,and the elctronics so i dont have to hunt a bunch of stuff down.if i get a new enough one,i will just incorporate the dash and all in my truck,that way it will truly be a a bad azz truck w/ modern conviences

there are two salvage yards around here that pretty much have a lot of trucks like you are looking for. R and L in Augusta (just east of wichita) and lumberts in winfield. R and L probably had 20 parts trucks all 4X4 the last time i was there

I still have the one your dad traded me but the frame is screwed up, but the drivetrain is all there.

I don't have what ya need but I know of one here locally that's for sale. I kinda know the guy that owns it, and my mother-in-law's "significant other", shall we say, did most of the work on it over the last few years.
I know it has an almost brand new crate motor in it. Then it had some other sort of problems so the guy got frustrated and parked it.

I'll get the whole story for ya if you'd be interested. Quite a road trip from Salina though. 438 miles to be exact! LOL

I can't say the price for sure, but if IIRC he said $500. (1/2 ton long bed manual trans)
