moving fuel tank to rear in 74 4x4
I have just "inherited" a project truck from one of my boys - that i did not really need as I have my own on the go - and I need to get it at least running and then probably try to sell it.
I know the duel fuel tanks were not working right and to simplify things I want to put a single tank in the rear and at least get it running. I have looked at a few tanks that will require some minor frame mods but is there anything out there that will pop in? I am using a carb. Also what sending unit do I need? I see a couple of different kinds out there. This is a nice truck, with lots of new LMC metal (i.e. new hood, front fenders, doors with 2 new box sides), about 6 inch suspension lift and later model 350 & 4 speed. I still have parts of the floors cut out but have all steel to replace. New metal is already painted white on inside and box is primered and ready for paint. I have over $7,000.00 into it so I will not be giving it away. If I have to I will get it much closer to completion and then sell it otherwise I will let it go for a fair bit less than i have into it. Anybody looking for a 1/2 finished project truck around southern Alberta? 56hotrodred |

73-91 Blazer tank should go right in there with a few additions:
