Re: older frame swap
61 would have torsion bar front suspension wouln't it? if so then no go on that. Why not cut your frame down?

Re: older frame swap
I may be wrong but I have heard that 63-72 are the same.... I have never dealt with anything past 67 so I am not sure.

Re: older frame swap
There was a fella on here not too long ago who was confused why his frame under his truck was "different." Turns out it was a 60-66 frame.

Re: older frame swap
yeah, that was a kid here in columbus. I looked at his truck... looking at his, it was obviouse it *can* be done... but it wasn't easy, nothing lined up properly, (custom body mounts, bumpers never fit) so I'll say for a quick and easy job... no.
However, y9ou could possibly buy the frame, and sell/trade so a 60 - 66 guy. |

Re: older frame swap
'60-'62 had torsion bars up front and a central "X" member cross-member in the frame which makes them heavier.

Re: older frame swap
You'd still have to modify the front of the frame for the correct bumpers, and body mounts and the frame isn't "dimpled" for the power steering.
