Picked Up An 05 GMC
After the injectors pumped over 3 gallons of diesel into my 01 Duramax I got somewhat nervous about the main bearing life expectancy and started looking around for a replacement truck.
Ended up finding the truck I was 'really' looking for the first time around. I originally wanted a crew cab but found the deal on my old 01 extended cab and got it at the time. This ones an 05 GMC 4x4 crew cab. (like the grill better personally) Duramax/Alison with a set of 285 BFG all terrains on the factory alloy wheels. Maroon with the gray interior. Pics to follow... Love the room and how it drives though, averaging 15mpg running around town so far. Really wanted the 06 I looked at with the HO diesel pushing out 650 ft lbs of torque 'stock' and the 6spd Ally but the deal was a bust. The color is growing on me, had an 01 2500HD the same color and like the color better this time around. Thanks, almost 'too pretty' for a work truck but I'll just have to get used to it. |

Re: Picked Up An 05 GMC
Very nice, and I agree I prefer the looks of the GMC front end.

Re: Picked Up An 05 GMC
Yep, needs a little trim on the bottom of the front inner valance but that's about it.
Rubs a small amount at full lock on the rear inner fender to but it just barely touches, not enough to really be concerned about IMO. Could always hit the torsion bars but I don't wanna cause I like the ride the way it is. |
