s-10 gas tank
Anyone here heard of using an 80`s chevy s-10 gas tank as an underbed tank for our full size trucks? I heard thats becoming more of an option now.

Re: s-10 gas tank
I've been told that the S10 tank will fit nicely between the frame rails, but have have not seen anyone with this setup.

Re: s-10 gas tank
It may be hard to find, but i've been looking for a 79 postal jeep tank. Small and square. 21 gallons. I've been told it works. I think blazer tanks are easier to come by, but there is at least one postal jeep junkyard per state *just me dreaming again*. I just havn't found one yet.

Yes, the S-10 tank fits good. It is just a little smaller than the full sized blazer tank so it won't hold as much fuel. It also doesn't hang down as far below the frame. There were a coupe of threads about them a year or so ago. I looked a while back but couldn't find them. Do a search on the word SURPLUS and tick the "Show Posts" circle. Yeah I know, it sounds strange but it works.... LockDoc

Re: s-10 gas tank
It would have to be like a 2-door blazer tank. I cant see a truck one fitting to well.

Re: s-10 gas tank
its the blazer/jimmy 2 door only tanks....poly or steel.
i've been digging on the net, check this out: the 85-95 s10 blazer 20gal tanks:1985-1995 CHEVROLET BLAZER S10 Fits 20 Gallon with Fuel Injection., (33 x 22 x 10-1/2) w/ Fuel Injection, Depth of Bottom Half 5-1/4, w/ Lock Ring Sets, w/Pan in Tank, (Hol#197-1293) (SPI#GM18B) (this will not work) also:Genuine MTS 20-gallon replacement gas tank fits a 1983-1995 2-door Chevy S-10 Blazer or S-15 Jimmy. This tank does not fit 4-door models. Measures 19" x 31" x 11". Tank contains a built-in fuel bowl and includes lock ring and O-ring. This tank also fits 1991-1993 Olds Bravada models. (i think this one is closest) also p/n gm19b for 85-87 s10 blazer/jimmy will not work! here is the poly tank i found on ebay, it seems to cost about the same as one of our year 67-72 blazer poly tanks... give or take a few pennies http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1983-...em220160472359
