Ecology Junkyard Half Price Sale/ Cali
Now to my question, im going to pull the left side of a longbed.
I heard of the board mentioning two welds. Where are they, and what should I pry them off with? |

They're back by the tailgate. Both on the year most bedside support along the floor board. They're a pain to get at without hacking up the bed. Can you just torch off part of the floorboard. I don't envy you doing this whole job with handtools in the yard

A torch!!! Its that bad? Maybe I will just try to repair mine.
But my left side has so much filler on it, it adds at least 15 more pounds the the bedside. I will post pictures of the filler in a few days. |

It's just tough to break those welds loose. Took me forever. I did it in my garage with a grinder, dreamel, sawzall, torch ect. but then again I didn't want to mess up the bed floor either.

As far as my bed floor, im going to Rhino the bed, so im not worried about that. But you used all of those tools?
Sounds like a challenge for me at the junkyard. |

The problem I was having was getting deep enough penitration. To break the weld loose. Plus all those carriage bolts were a pain and I either had them break off or had to grind the tops off

How much for the whole bed? If fair, I'd snag it and bring it home where you can use power tools to help
